What's the future of eCommerce?

Karnataka State Mango Department and Marketing Corporation signed MOU with Flipkart enabling farmers to sell their products online through Flipkart's platform when the pandemic was at its peak. Which saved the farmers from facing loss in the season. Now once they have used this option, don’t you think that they would use it in the future? In desperate times like these eCommerce became the solution to the problem. And in days to come, eCommerce will always come up to save the day. When the government and even farmers can benefit from it, what is holding you back to use the most of this opportunity?

We know that pandemic has made millions of lives miserable. Even well-earning white-collar job people came to the point of being all drained out monetarily. And everyone had this one regret ‘IF ONLY WE KNEW WHAT WAS COMING, WE WOULD’VE PREPARED’. A situation like a pandemic and others cannot be predicted hence, be prepared for. But what about the opportunities? Opportunities like when people regret not investing in crypto, stock market, etc.

Here we have the same situation building up. E-Commerce has been increasing globally but recently it is booming at double the pace. I’m sure having missed so many opportunities pass by you wouldn’t want to miss another one. Mobile commerce sales in 2016 were less than a trillion USD, now in 2021, It is grown up by 3x times than ever (3.56 trillion USD), in which 2020 and 2021 showed most of the rapid growth. Based on these statistics provided by statistica you can estimate the future of e-commerce.

In every generation, there are two kinds of people who change the course for their future generations. One who sees the future and what is coming and work towards it for growth and change and secondly the ones who are scared of the change and growth, are comfortable with the old traditional things and end up nowhere. Hence, worsening things more for the future generations of theirs to come.

For example, you can look at the Nokia. They were the best in the business but since they couldn’t keep up with the changes they lost and couldn’t be a part of what the future was holding for them, same as the other competitors. On the other hand where other brands such as Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo were not that popular but it kept their pace with the growth and change and eventually became among the world’s most mobile phone selling companies.
